(Intro solo: Alberto) Seal your ears and guard thine tongues Suppress your passions or be labelled as scum By the sheeple of society mired in anxiety Secretly, silently, a witch hunt has now begun Have they become too fragile and frail To distinguish true terror from tale? Must all runes we recite Be misread as indictable ails? Shall we sing in silence At the peril of being detained? Shall we sing in silence? Would it still be seen as insane? How can mere words predate such terrors? Why must we suffer for others' errors? Shall we sing in silence and in shame? Are we to blame? Lay down your freedom to express To sing a song or speak in jest Lest ye be doomed to persecution At society's behest Out of civic paranoia They'll traduce and vilify you As a potential danger to mankind And so shall the troops be deployed Wretched proles Know your roles Damn your souls! Shall we sing in silence At the peril of being detained? Shall we sing in silence? Would it still be seen as insane? How can lyrics predate such terrors? Why must we suffer for others' errors? Shall we sing in silence and in shame Into our graves? Beware, for you could be taken away For naught more than mere wordplay Though misread in error, mistaken for terror Still the price is yours to pay (Guitar solos: Alberto & Chris) Have they become too fragile and frail To distinguish true terror from tale? Our system fails, yet society regales As injustice prevails So shall we sing in silence At the peril of being detained? Shall we sing in silence? Would it still be seen as insane? How can mere words predate such terrors? Why must we suffer for others' errors? Shall we sing in silence and in shame Forever enslaved?

(Intro guitar solo: Chris) Wake up from this ignorance To a world of insignificance Where all we know is a lie The dawn of comprehension A newfound tension A glimpse at our reflection seen through synthetic eyes Signals are amplified constantly Through all our modern technology Such a clever disguise Oh brother, are you watching, Are you listening to every aspect of our lives Through your millions of ears and eyes? And have we nowhere to hide? Cellphones and cyberspace All collected and databased Our secrets and mistakes are accessible And there is no escape So, to shit with our privacy To hell with human intimacy All the wealthiest bastards have purchased this power To fuck our dignity Oh brother, are you watching, Are you listening to every aspect of our lives Through your millions of ears and eyes? And have we nowhere to hide... ...from brother, always watching, Always listening for every detail of our lives Through your millions of ears and eyes? And have we nowhere to hide? Just how much much further shall you take This disregard for our liberties? Subjugation of the innocent While the guilty run free? And what of our constitution? Will it become obsolete? And will the story end in revolution Or defeat??? (Guitar solo: Alberto) We can only tell with time If the threat is real or benign Our future's uncertain, but maybe we've nothing to fear It may all be fine if we only stay in line... ...but can we ever be certain?? (Piano: Federico Vender [guest]) (Bass solo: Emilio) Oh brother, are you watching, Are you listening to every aspect of our lives Through your millions of ears and eyes? And have we nowhere to hide... ...from brother, always watching, always listening? How could you possibly memorize Every detail of our lives Through your millions of ears and eyes? (Guitar solos: Chris & Alberto)

I taste deception, betrayal of trust In those who once stood beside me, now choose to disgrace Promises cheapened by greed and lust And in a matter of moments, all my trust is misplaced Slap in the face Reality of humanity Mentalities I once thought inconceivable And confidence is irrelevant Line between good and evil's practically invisible Costly lesson in depth perception When choosing companions in this era of distrust This life tests me to second guess Before making decisions that are bound to end in disgust Just look at the world around you How could we possibly expect To tell the difference between friend and foe? How will we know? Have we all lost conscience of what's most important? Now I question the loyalty of those I adore With surrounding temptations such as fame and fortune Even your closest friends defend you no more, NO! Reality of humanity Display of what is clearly unforgivable And confidence is irrelevant Line between good and evil's practically invisible Costly lesson in depth perception When choosing companions in this era of distrust This life tests me to watch my step Before making decisions that are bound to end in disgust Where will I turn when my once strong social circle's Reduced to a desolate dot? Has all of my faith been for naught? (Guitar solo: Chris) Shall we keep forsaking all our companions Leaving our ethics to rust? For we are the ones who've created This era of distrust (Guitar solo: Alberto) (Keyboard solo: Mike) (Guitar solo: Chris) Reality of humanity Mentalities I once thought inconceivable And confidence is irrelevant Line between good and evil's practically invisible Costly lesson in depth perception When choosing companions in this era of distrust This life tests me to second guess Before making decisions that are bound to end in disgust Just look at the world around you How could we possibly expect To tell the difference between friend and foe? Maybe we'll never know
